Anton Paar unveils Lyza 3000: A cost-effective FTIR spectroscopy solution

Anton Paar is pleased to announce Lyza 3000, the newest member of its FTIR spectroscopy lineup. Building on the legacy of the well-established Lyza 7000, this streamlined version brings the same reliable optical components, including a cube corner interferometer and DLaTGS detector, to laboratories seeking high performance at a more manageable price.

Unlike its predecessor, Lyza 3000 foregoes a built-in touchscreen, allowing operators to work entirely through Anton Paar’s Spectroscopy Suite on their desktop computers. By doing so, users gain the comfort of a full-size keyboard, mouse, and screen – all of which help simplify navigation and method development. Additionally, this setup makes Lyza 3000 a cost-effective choice without compromising data quality or instrument reliability.

Central to Lyza 3000’s versatility is its modular cell design, inherited directly from Lyza 7000. Whether measuring liquids, solids, or gases, laboratories can swap in the appropriate measurement cell and be ready to go. This adaptability is especially helpful in facilities handling diverse sample types or looking to expand capabilities over time. Since the same cells work seamlessly across both instruments, laboratories can easily share accessories and standardise their workflows.

At the heart of Lyza 3000 is Anton Paar’s Spectroscopy Suite – robust desktop software that keeps every stage of analysis under control. The Spectroscopy Suite includes essential data integrity features needed in highly regulated environments, ensuring traceability from measurement through reporting. Beyond that, it offers integrated control for Anton Paar’s Raman spectrometer Cora 5001, enabling labs to handle both FTIR and Raman measurements in one convenient platform. This unification of software provides a holistic approach to spectroscopy that boosts efficiency and consistency.

Though Lyza 3000 is simpler in appearance, it remains every bit as precise as its bigger sibling. By focusing on core performance and removing extraneous hardware, Anton Paar has achieved a balance that appeals to both experienced spectroscopists and newcomers. With the same robust construction, premium components, and proven track record of analytical excellence, Lyza 3000 delivers consistent results that stand up to the most demanding quality-control requirements.

As a logical extension of Anton Paar’s FTIR portfolio, Lyza 3000 reflects the company’s dedication to advancing accessible, high-quality spectroscopy. By maintaining key performance features in a more economical package, this instrument ensures that laboratories of any size or budget can benefit from proven, reliable FTIR technology.
