Multiwave GO - The best of both worlds
Oct 13 2014
For more than 40 years, Anton Paar has been a leading supplier of sample preparation instruments. The latest innovation, Multiwave GO, is a digestion system providing a lightweight 12-position rotor. Based on a DMC Directed Multimode Cavity, the new self-adjusting microwave field invented by Anton Paar, highly efficient heating is possible in an extremely small-footprint system. For efficient reaction control the internal vessel temperature of each vessel is controlled via an IR sensor. For highest digestion temperatures, the pressure is safely controlled in each vessel applying SMART VENT technology. Unique cooling times as short as 8 minutes for a fully loaded twelve-position rotor provide a superior sample throughput.
DMC Directed Multimode Cavity
The DMC Directed Multimode Cavity provides the best of both monomode and multimode microwaves. As in a monomode system, the microwaves are directed at the sample, providing highly efficient heating in a compact system. Additionally, one-sample digestions without the need for ‘blind vessels’ are possible. As in a multimode system, up to twelve samples can be digested in a single run. Guided into the oven cavity, the microwave field is focused onto the vessels by a unique mechanism and adapts itself to the number of charged positions in the rotor as well as the filling volume of each vessel. Figure 1 illustrates how the microwave field is focused on the individual samples and the energy is consumed where it is really needed.

Low running costs and the small footprint together with the time-saving benefit of parallel digestions make Multiwave GO your economic partner in routine sample preparation.
