Grant Instruments has worked in partnership with customers to develop a brand new range of robust and value-for-money heating circulators and accompanying baths to improve productivity in the modern laboratory.

The sleek, user-friendly Grant Optima™ range of heating circulators consists of four new models providing excellent temperature stability (±0.05 to ±0.01ºC) and uniformity (±0.1 to ±0.05ºC). The Optima series is designed for use with Grant's five new stainless steel or three plastic baths and the five models in its refrigerated bath and circulator range. A clamp is also available to allow independent use of the Optima thermostats with any vertical sided tanks.

Emma Hewson, Product Manager at Grant Instruments, said: "We have worked closely with customers during the design, prototyping and development stage of the Optima range to ensure that we really understand the heating and cooling challenges of technicians and researchers in the modern laboratory."

For example, Grant's advanced Optima heating circulators - the TX150 and TXF200 - feature a full colour screen with icon driven menus to facilitate fast and accurate setup, a USB interface for PC programming via Grant's Labwise™ software or data logging, an integral pump for external fluid circulation plus numerous safety features, temperature profiling and control functions.

The four modular Grant Optima heating circulators work with any of Grant's stainless steel and plastic tanks. The five new stainless steel tanks (5, 12, 18, 26 and 38 litre) feature raised feet for retort stand access and optional insulated gabled hinged lid to improve energy efficiency and to prevent evaporation. The 12, 18, 26 and 38 litre baths include drain taps for easy tank emptying and cleaning. In addition, the dual-position bridge plate ensures visibility of the thermostat while optimising bench space.

The three plastic baths (5, 12 and 18 litre) are double-walled for rigidity, are easy to clean and are available with optional flat stainless steel or curved plastic lids.
