La Pha Pack caps with a partial-slit silicone septa more effectively maintain sample integrity.

With a Y-shaped slit that only extends through the silicone layer the chemically inert polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) layer remains completely intact prior to sample injection. This provides maximum protection from conta - minants and gives improved compatibility with aggressive solvent systems. This easy-to-use cap also minimises alterations in solute concentration by reducing solvent evaporation.

The caps may be used with manual syringes and are compatible with 0all HPLC autosamplers. For those autosamplers with thin gauge needles, penetration is made simple by the Y-shaped slit which by providing a large
penetration area enables quick and easy insertion of the needle into the vial. These septa also enable air flow during sample pick up to avoid a vacuum forming in the vial, making it ideal for many newer instruments.
