RMS Awards 2021: Nominations open
Feb 26 2020
The RMS are inviting nominations for the full range of its Medal Series to be awarded in 2021. Celebrating outstanding scientific achievements across all areas of microscopy and flow cytometry, the Medal Series also recognises the unsung heroes of microscopy - individuals who have made a valuable contribution either to the development of a new technique or the application of existing methods and those who have volunteered their time and energy to the Society.
The deadline date for all nominations is 24 April, 2020. This is also the deadline for new nominations for RMS Honorary Fellows.
A newly-established category is the Chris Hawes Award for Outreach and Education. This has been created to honour Professor Chris Hawes, former President of the RMS, for his contributions to the Society and his particular contributions to Outreach and Education. This award will normally be made to nominees who have made a substantial contribution either to the field of education, or to outreach and public engagement over the course of their career.
