Free Materials Characterization Webinar on 12th December
Nov 29 2007
The Webinar will be presented by Professor Vincent B.F. Mathot, of SciTe B.V., who has 30 years of experience in researching molecular structure, crystallisation and melting, and the morphology and thermal properties of polymers.
The Webinar will review optimising HyperDSC for research and development by perfecting response, resolution and calibration. It will cover the use of optimal settings to enable new research strategies for polymer systems, opening up possibilities for characterization of materials and substances.
Specific topics include:
- Calibration for low/high scan rates in both heating and cooling
- Determining in what temperature range the scan rates programmed are constant
- Optimising the instrumentation's response and resolution
- Using HyperDSC settings for advanced applications such as mimicking processing conditions, working with minute amounts of substances, the study of nucleation and cold/recrystallization.
