High-tech imaging demand 'driving sales of laboratory products'
Jul 06 2010
In a new analysis of the prospects for the laboratory products market as global economies recover, Frost anticipates that some developing markets will "come out unscathed" from the turbulence.
Other key markets - including Europe and the US - are being supported by replacements of existing systems and the need for new high-tech imaging equipment.
Simone Carron, research associate for Frost & Sullivan, says: "The medical imaging market is shifting towards integrated technology and hybrid systems, with innovative developments such as radiation reduction and better temporal resolution."
By 2012, revenues are expected to stand up by around a seventh on their 2009 level as growth continues in the sector.
Frost's Medical Imaging practice coordinates the efforts of a global team to maintain research and forecasts in a timely manner.
