BRANY chosen as US prime site for Quintiles

BRANY (Biomedical Research Alliance of New York) has announced that it is now a designated Quintiles Prime Site.
This development means that improved access will be provided to industry-sponsored clinical trials, with BRANY one of many other organisations that have received the same accreditation from Quintiles.
The research alliance strives to achieve excellence in the field of clinical research and backs Quintiles’ vision of combining knowledge and people for a healthier world.
BRANY’s network of highly qualified and experienced researchers will work with community and academic study sites to speed up the creation of new therapies.
Kimberly Irvine, executive vice president of operations at BRANY, said: “BRANY is committed to excellence in clinical research and improving patient care. This alliance will provide our leading investigators and hospitals with significant opportunities to access industry-sponsored clinical trials. We are excited to be working with Quintiles to bring new clinical trials to our sites and patients.”
BRANY has pioneered its Smart Start 60 platform aims to increase efficiencies and sustainability across community and academic study sites in order to expedite timelines of clinical research.
These new ways of working can lead to real-life benefits, causing clinical trials to be concluded on or ahead of schedule to further treatments for unmet medical needs in a cost-effective way without jeopardising the quality standards of research.
Lindy Jones, senior vice president of integrated site services at Quintiles, said: “BRANY consistently sets and meets aggressive start-up timelines.
“They are able to conduct studies in both the hospital and community setting broadening opportunities for patients to participate in studies. We welcome BRANY as the newest Prime Site and look forward to continued success together.”
