New Data Logger System Efficiently Validates Sterilisation and Freeze-drying Processes 

The new testo 190 system comprises five data loggers for temperature and pressure, 21 CFR Part 11-compliant software with audit-relevant reporting and two multifunction cases. Testo also offers comprehensive services, from full validation to separate individual services.

In addition to precision and accuracy it is their unique design that makes the testo 190 data loggers particularly impressive: the measuring technology is contained in a hermetically sealed stainless-steel housing and the batteries are in a separate housing made of high-quality plastic. This innovative design ensures fast and safe battery replacement without any tools, and the extremely robust and durable loggers remain 100% tight after the change.

The intuitive 21 CFR Part 11-compliant software means both novices and experts enjoy optimum support with the measuring processes, from fast configuration and readout of the CFR data loggers, via comprehensive data analysis, to easy and audit-relevant reporting with just the click of a mouse. It is possible to read out a total of up to 254 loggers in one validation process. 

The two multifunction cases, which are available in different sizes, are each equipped with an integrated programming and readout unit. Up to 8 data loggers can be configured and read out simultaneously in both cases. The large case also offers specially made holding mechanisms for multiple data loggers and batteries. Once the readout process has been completed, the loggers can be securely stored and conveniently transported in both the readout unit and the holding mechanisms. 

The testo 190 product family along with the testo 190 CFR software were developed together with experts from Testo Industrial Services (TIS). The Testo SE & Co KGaA subsidiary provides services from certified DAkkS calibration, via qualification and validation, to complete sterilisation process development. 

The testo 190 product family also includes the testo 190-P1 CFR pressure data logger, in addition to the four CFR temperature data loggers, testo 190-T1, testo 190-T2, testo 190-T3 and testo 190-T4. All models are produced in stainless steel and robust polyether ether ketone (PEEK). They are very small and can be used even in confined spaces without any problem. Their measuring range is from -50 to +140°C or 1 mbar to 4 bar abs. The probes of the models are rigid or flexible and differ in length. Individually customised probes can also be produced on request.
