A New Ambient Humidity Generator with RH control at the Point of Delivery
May 18 2012
Surface Measurement systems Ltd has launched the GenRH-A, an ambient humidity Generator with critical relative humidity control at point of delivery, an integrated
Relative humidity is a critical parameter to control in numerous chemical process and product studies and industries but particularly in the pharmaceutical, formulation, food, tableting, cosmetics, compaction, materials, inhalation, aerosols, agro-chemicals, art, powder flow, sample conditioning, electrostatics and stability/accelerated testing areas.
The GenRH-A humidity Generator is flexible enough to provide dynamic humidity control of the sample environment in Optical, Raman, FTIR and other microscopys and spectroscopys. It can even be integrated into XRPD, DMA or AFM applications.
GenRH in conjunction with your characterisation systems is ideal for studying: moisture induced phase transitions; dissolution of solids (deliquescence) and hydration formation; polymorphs transitions and co-crystal formation; crystallisation of amorphous compounds; aerosol and electrostatic phenomena; relaxation, swelling and stability of particles, granules and fibres; degradation and caking of foodstuffs.
Other key features include Digital humidity probe location at vapour delivery point providing precise RH control at ambient from 0-95% with temperature measurement. It weighs 5kg, has a small footprint 37cm x 13cm x 25cm and is easily portable about the lab.
The GenRH series exploits SMS’s twenty year plus experience in providing precise vapour control, building on its complex characterisation technologies in the DVS&SEA areas, leading to a substantial price reduction on its successful predecessor the VGI.
