Now available: the next generation of overhead stirrers from IKA®

Removable display interface for improved safety

With their pioneering technology and innovative functional design, the new overhead stirrers from global market leader IKA® improve performance and make laboratory work even safer. These stirrers feature a detachable impeller, digital display interface and the option to monitor the flow properties and other parameters using labworldsoft® software. Irrespective of the viscosity and application, these stirrers can process quantities ranging from millilitres up to 200 litres.

A unique feature is the removable digital display interface, which can be used to operate the stirrer by Bluetooth wireless technology. This makes work easier and safer. For example, when working under a fume hood the safety stop function will also protect against injury.

The new online update function, which is available on the control versions, allows for the stirrers to be updated with the latest software via the internet. These control versions also have a torque display, a TFT display screen, an integrated socket for connection of a temperature sensor and RS-232 and USB interfaces. The Eurostar digital and control series build on one another
in terms of overall design. 

The Eurostar 100 is suitable for more demanding applications and improves mixing: the stirring element can change the direction of rotation.

In 2012 the Eurostar 40 digital and the Eurostar 200 control received the ‘red dot design award – product design 2012’.

All IKA® stirrers meet the requirements of the standards DIN EN IEC 61010-1 and DIN EN IEC 61010-2-051. They fulfil and exceed CE
requirements and comply with international safety regulations.

For industrial-scale applications, IKA® also supplies stirrers for the process technology sector, including units that are used in potentially explosive atmospheres. These units can process quantities up to 20,000 litres.
