The MiniBeadbeater-24 cell disrupter efficiently disrupts bacteria, yeast, fungi, spores and plant and animal tissue in a sealed 2ml microvial. Using proven bead mill methodology and simple controls not requiring programming, the ultra-high energy shaking machine homogenises up to 24 samples at a time. For special applications variable speed control is provided.
Nucleic acids, proteins and intracellular organelles can be isolated in 1-2 minutes of beadbeating. Compared to other mechanical cell disruption methods, beadbeating in microvials is a totally contained system and cross contamination between samples is eliminated – features essential for PCR methodologies.
