New Clinical Specimen Panels Speed Up Assay Development for Infectious Diseases
Oct 17 2016
BBI Solutions (BBI) have announced the launch of SCIPAC Clinical Specimen Panels. SCIPAC are quantitative panels of clinical specimen, collected from multiple donors of known genotype.
Panels currently available from BBI include the SCIPAC range of Hepatitis, HIV and Syphilis.
Adding to BBI’s extensive biobank portfolio, the panels provide a quantity of trusted patient samples to diagnostic companies and academic researchers. These will assist research and development and QC departments with their quality control testing to assess proof of concept experiments when developing new assays for infectious diseases.
Janeske Oosthuizen Marketing Product Manager of BBI Solutions said: “Providing our customers with these sample panels will help to speed up the process of developing assays, so that they can get these crucial tests to the market quicker enabling physicians to diagnose and treat patients more effectively.
“Offering a panel of samples compared to an individual component provides ease of use to our customers’,” continued Janeske. “At BBI our aim is to develop innovative, quality products to meet the needs of our customers, advance the efficiency of assay development and improve the lives of the end user.”
BBI plan to expand the SCIPAC range as the supply of infectious disease samples become more readily available, in order to continually assist in the battle against these deadly diseases.
Customers can be confident in the secure supply and traceability of BBI’s patient samples. A diverse range of donor demographics are supplied direct to BBI from ethically approved hospitals and blood banks in three different continents.
Using BBI’s SCIPAC clinical specimen panels can save time and optimise success rates.
