Expanded range of prepacked chromatography columns for biotherapeutic purification

Bio-Rad Laboratories, Inc has introduced the Foresight™ Pro 45 cm inner diameter (ID) chromatography column. Designed to support large-scale downstream purification, the new column provides biopharmaceutical manufacturers with a reliable solution for processing biomolecules such as vaccines, antibodies, and recombinant proteins.

Expanding on the existing Foresight Pro column range, which includes diameters from 5 to 33 cm, the 45 cm ID column offers seamless integration into downstream workflows. Manufactured and packed in an ISO Class 7 cleanroom, these good manufacturing practice (GMP)-ready columns ensure consistency and performance. The standardised design is available in various diameters and bed heights and can be prepacked with CHT™ Ceramic Hydroxyapatite Media Type I, Type II, or XT. CHT Media’s unique composition, Ca10(PO4)6OH2, enables biomolecule purification through metal affinity interactions with calcium atoms and cation exchange interactions via phosphate groups.
