Maximum efficiency and reliability in vacuum filtration

KNF LABOPORT® diaphragm vacuum pumps

Filtration processes separate particles from fluids to ensure their purity and quality. In contrast to simple gravimetric filtration, vacuum pumps optimise filtration by creating a pressure differential that moves the fluid through the filter more efficiently.

The efficiency of vacuum filtration can be affected by a number of different factors, including the porosity of the filter, the viscosity of the liquid to be filtered and the type of particle to be removed. When choosing a vacuum pump, it is important to consider the volume of your flask and the number of filtration units. A vacuum that is too weak will cause the process to take more time, while a vacuum that is too strong can lead to the filter tearing or collapsing.

The KNF LABOPORT® diaphragm vacuum pumps offer all the key advantages in terms of handling and functionality that laboratory personnel really need:

  • The very compact, maintenance-free LABOPORT® N 96 mini diaphragm vacuum pump comes with a flow rate of 7 l/min and ultimate vacuum of 130 mbar (abs.). Extremely small footprint and adjustable speed control make it outstandingly easy to use and the perfect choice for a wide range of laboratory applications
  • The compact and quiet LABOPORT® N 816.3 KT.18 diaphragm vacuum pump offers a flow rate of 16 l/min and ultimate vacuum of 20 mbar (abs.). Available with an optional fine control valve (suction side), the pump meets the highest demands on performance

Both KNF LABOPORT® diaphragm vacuum pumps are chemical-resistant and have a high vapour compatibility. They offer an environmentally friendly, 100% oil-free transfer and thereby pure transferring, evacuation and compression of gases. The PTFE-coated diaphragm is ideal even for aggressive or corrosive gases and vapours.
