Thailand LAB has been postponed to October 28-30, 2020 due to the further outbreak of the COVID-19
May 12 2020
As the World Health Organisation (WHO) announced the COVID-19 as a global pandemic because it can pass easily from person to person in many parts of the world at the same time. Many countries try to stop the virus-spreading and impose many measures to control the number of new infected cases.
Today COVID-19 is continuing its spread across the world, with around three million confirmed cases in 185 countries. At least 200,000 people have died. The outbreak pattern in many parts of the world likes USA, Germany, Italy, Japan, India, Singapore and etc. changed the situation and caused more difficulties in travelling around the world. However, the situation in Thailand, especially in Bangkok seems relatively good with few new infection cases. We noticed that there is even a downward trend in the numbers of newly infected people during the past weeks.
This situation changes people habit and create the new norm to protect themselves and focusing more on the health and safety which leading to a potential shortage of “Personal Protective Equipment” or PPE. In response, manufacturers are ramping up production globally. Moreover, rapid collection and testing of appropriate specimens from patients meeting the suspect case definition for COVID-19 is a priority for clinical management and outbreak control and should be guided by a laboratory expert. Therefore, Personal Protective Equipment, Rapid Test and High-Performance Laboratory Analytical & Testing Service Equipment is in high demanded in the global market.
