Photography in the Mix

Van Walt Ltd, a specialist environmental equipment supplier, thinks business and pleasure can mix – and has come up with a novel idea to tap creative talent.

Running until the 15th December, the Van Walt 2010 Photographic Competition is free to enter and aims to encourage entries that celebrate the environment and show research equipment in field conditions; plus a category for good, interesting, innovative and unusual photographs.

“Photography is a passion of mine,” confesses Vincent, Director of Van Walt Ltd. “I have always been keen to incorporate as many photographs as I can in Van Walt material, particularly pictures which are inspirational and complement the sector in which we operate – the environment. I think our new website is a good example of this. Of course this is not totally altruistic! We hope to get lots of excellent, exciting entries, display these on our website; on a new, totally dedicated page and eventually use some of the photographs in future marketing. In return we are offering a really good prize – a Canon Powershot S90 Camera - for the winning entry.”
