Milestone Achievement Marks Start of Future Pathway

Automated instrumentation and consumables company  TTP Labtech, announced its corporate name change to SPT Labtech effective since January 6, 2020. The change of name is a contractual requirement of its divestment from TTP Group in 2018 with the backing of technology-focused investment firm Battery Ventures.

David Newble, Managing Director of TTP Labtech, said: "We chose the name SPT Labtech to provide familiarity for customers and acknowledge our proud company history of scientific excellence. At the same time, we are excited to mark this milestone in our journey as a standalone organisation and enter our next chapter of growth with a new name which reflects our focus going forward. The inspiration behind the name was ‘Sample Preparation Technologies’ however, this is not something we will continue to refer to from this point forward.
