Science Warehouse Procurement Technology set to Drive Savings in Australia and New Zealand

Science Warehouse, one of the top 10 fastest growing companies in the UK e-business sector, has agreed a partnership with Purchasing Index, a leader in enterprise-wide performance analytics, spend analysis and profiling.

Purchasing Index is based in Melbourne and is ideally placed to introduce the Science Warehouse solution to Australia and New Zealand. It services clients across the private and public sectors including higher education, all levels of government, healthcare, financial services, manufacturing, utilities and mining.

Bojan Pajic, Managing Director of Purchasing Index Pty, said: “For the majority of buying organisations, the focus has been on improving the accuracy and quality of post-spend activity data derived from their own systems – in effect, mining poor data rather than resolving the problem at source. While there undoubtedly remains a benefit in analysing legacy data, the Science Warehouse solution offers the major advantage that we can now capture high quality spend data at the point of purchase – delivering a richness of spend analysis that was previously impossible.”

Dr David Hames, Chairman of Science Warehouse, said: “During two recent visits to Australia, I met with a large number of public and corporate clients. Whether I was talking to a university or to a multinational mining company, the message was clear – the Amazon-like front end of Science Warehouse is at the forefront of driving user adoption and compliance while it's rich and consistently classified product data takes spend analytics to a new level. There is a real appetite for doing things smarter.”

As one of the fastest growing businesses in the e-business sector, Science Warehouse solutions are being adopted across an increasing number of markets – both industries and geographies. Science Warehouse solutions have been proven by leading organisations to drive substantial increases in efficiency and cost savings. The cloud-based platform with a consumer-oriented look and feel means it is fully scalable for global rollout.
