mmc21 Abstract Submissions Open

The Royal Microscopical Society is now accepting abstract submissions in the form of both oral and poster presentations, for Microscience Microscopy Congress (mmc) 2021, which this year will be held as a virtual event - the biggest of its kind in Europe - to be held from 5-9 July.

mmc21 will combines six parallel streams of conference sessions with a free-to-attend exhibition, plus virtual meetings and workshops covering all the latest topics. It serves as a golden opportunity for companies, both large and small, to showcase a quantity and quality of equipment that never fails to impress. It also provides the perfect stage for delegates to showcase their work, make new connections and broaden their knowledge base and skill-set.

RMS Chief Executive Allison Winton said: “We took the early decision to go virtual because of the obvious uncertainty surrounding the Covid-19 pandemic, and the need to provide clarity for all our exhibitors, delegates and visitors. Making that early call has given us the time we need to fully explore the online format and ensure we can get the very best out of it. It’s also a great opportunity to bring a new twist to the unique range of features for which mmc is well-known.

“Although nothing can fully replace the experience of meeting colleagues, clients and friends in person, moving the Congress online means we can still deliver everything else that is great about mmc, and ensure that mmc2021 will be accessible across the world.”

All abstracts, in the form of both oral and poster presentations, should be submitted through the dedicated online system, which is being hosted by Oxford  Abstracts. The deadline is 18 March, 2021
