Nikon Partners with Key Neuroscience Centre

The Institute of Experimental Medicine at the Hungarian Academy of Science KOKI in Budapest, Hungary and Nikon Instruments have celebrated the opening of the first Nikon Microscopy Centre (NMC) in central Europe. The company has reportedly invested around €1,050,000.00 in systems usefull for live cell and deep tissue investigations such as the Eclipse Ti-E with TIRF, N-STORM and the Eclipse FN1 with C1plus "The centre will make an important contribution to the development of neuroscience imaging techniques and further our research immensely, enabling us to maintain our position in the international mainstream of neuroscience research. We were pleased to partner with Nikon, who have collaborated with other leading organisations to launch several similar centres in the past," commented Professor Tamas Freund, Director of the Institute.
Welcoming Dr Laszlo Barna as the Head of NMC, Mr Eimori, President of Nikon Instruments, Europe, said: "The Institute of Experimental Medicine is a key neuroscience research facility in Central Europe.
This is a very important relationship for us and we are delighted to be working with them.” The new microscopy centre will also be used to provide demonstrations for other interested customers, Mr Eimori added.
