analytica China 2016: Exhibitor numbers exceed expectations

From October 10 to 12, 2016, analytica China the Leading Trade Fair for Laboratory Technology, Analysis, Biotechnology and Diagnostics in China, opens again at the Shanghai New International Expo Center (SNIEC). Seven month before the show, the outlook is very promising: To date, more than 600 exhibitors have registered (final number 2014: 695). With 35,000 square meters, this year’s event will be the largest analytica China ever.

Over 80 percent of the exhibition area has already been ordered. The strong demand from companies underlines the importance of analytica China in the industry. The organizers not only welcome a big number of familiar exhibitors, but also over 150 new-comers like Bio-Rad, DANAHER, Grace, Genscript, Harvard Instruments, Kewaunee, NIMAC, Promega, Quantachrome Instruments, Shanghai TS Lab, TA Instruments, Taiwan Cleanleau, Taiwan HMTECH, TOMOS Instruments, Veolia ELGA pure water for laboratory, Xiamen Yixu Lab or ZEPHIRUS.

Focus on food safety

One of the main topics of the 2016 event is food safety. The newly-organized special exhibition area for food safety focuses on the exhibition of systematic solutions to food safety and outstanding cases, and provides the latest, most cutting-edge food safety solutions for authorities, and quality control for food processing manufacturers. The major exhibits and the demo area for food safety provide analysis and test instruments (for microbes, toxics, pesticide residue, heavy metal, gene-mutation and additives), mobile fast testing technology, food safety tracing systems, temp/moisture monitoring systems, sanitation and sterilization equipment, reagents and consumables.

Besides food safety, the following application industries are especially presented at analytica China 2016: biotechnology, chemistry and chemical engineering, environmental monitoring, industrial manufacturing, inspection and quarantine, life science, medicine and health, pharmacy as well as scientific research.

For the first time ever, analytica China is co-located with China Brew and China Beverage, the biggest event in the Asian-Pacific region for the liquid food, liquor, beverage and diary product industries. This allows synergies for both, exhibitors and visitors of analytica China, particularly in the areas food safety and scientific quality control in regards to packaging.

Top supporting program

Again there are high-quality conferences, forums and workshops targeted at food safety, analytical chemistry, proteomics, laboratory construction and safety, environment and pharmacy, especially in their actual applications. Some of them are displayed in this year’s analytica China conference, too. Further, the third Sino-European International Food Safety Forum for example compares and analyzes the latest food safety regulations in different countries, and addresses new trends in the food safety inspection technology and monitor systems. Leading food brands, like the Bright Group, give speeches on their experience and achievements in food safety.

The eighth Shanghai International Symposium on Analytical Chemistry offers talks on the application of analytical chemistry in food, biomedicine, environment, material and nano-technology. The Omics and Personalized Medicine Symposium and LSAC: Life Science & Biotech Forum centers on topics as precision medical treatment and big-data. Moreover, training sessions are held during the exhibition, addressing gas and liquid chromatography, mass spectrometry, sample preparation, rapid detection technology, laboratory safety and certification.
