LGC Acquires Maine Standards Company

LGC, an international life sciences and measurement company, has announced that it has acquired Maine Standards Company, the leading provider of calibration verification materials for clinical laboratories in the US. The acquisition bolsters LGC’s growing portfolio of reference materials and proficiency testing (PT) schemes for the clinical market.

Maine Standards Company will continue to operate from its recently opened, purpose built facility near Portland, Maine, under LGC’s ownership.
