Leading Distributor in European IVF Market Acquired by Irvine

Irvine Scientific, a world leader in the development and manufacture of cell culture media, reagents and medical devices for industrial, clinical and research applications, has acquired BioCare Europe S.r.l based in Rome, Italy.

Supporting IVF hospitals and clinics worldwide with cGMP cell culture media, Irvine Scientific has been building a sales presence in Europe over the last several years, primarily in the UK, France, and Germany. BioCare distribute a wide variety of IVF products to the European market and has built a strong sales network in Europe, focused mainly in Italy, France, Greece, Portugal and Spain.

The IVF market in Europe, said to be the largest worldwide, is expected to experience continued stable growth. The acquisition therefore provides a platform for maximizing opportunities presented by that growth.
