Spectronic to Supply Wireless Temperature Monitoring
Jan 12 2009
Spectronic Analytical Instruments has been chosen by RAG to supply its wireless temperature monitoring systems into the highly specialised area of laboratory refrigeration.
It is vitally important to many research projects and investigations, as well as more regular testing procedures, that laboratory samples and
cultures are stored in refrigerated units at the correct temperature. Traditionally these temperatures have been monitored by laboratory staff and technicians taking manual thermometer readings on a regular basis, a procedure which is labour intensive and open to human error.
RAG’s fully automated wireless temperature monitoring systems are suitable for installations involving a small or large number of monitoring
points, and can be configured as independent or networked solutions.
Meeting the exacting requirements of the food, medical, pharmaceutical and life sciences industries makes these temperature monitoring
systems suitable for a wide number of laboratories, and Spectronic’s Mark Brereton is anticipating steadily increasing sales in the early
months of 2009.
“My colleagues and I meet laboratory staff virtually every day of the week. Without doubt, manual temperature monitoring of refrigerated
samples and cultures is an area of concern in many laboratories. Offering an excellent return on investment through a significant saving in
staff time, RAG’s products eliminate all the issues and concerns associated with a tedious manual process.”
