Oxford Instruments Receives Engineering Award

Oxford Instruments NanoScience Ultra Low Temperature engineering team achieved ‘highly commended’ runners up place at the 2009 British Engineering Excellence Awards ceremony held at the Globe Theatre in London on October 1st. The award was made in the New Product of the Year (Mechanical) category for a Cryogenfree integrated dilution refrigerator TritonTM200 with magnet in recognition of the product design enhancements, cost reduction, first time pass rate and market growth achieved since the radical redesign project was implemented in July 2008.

Dr Graham Batey, Consultant Engineer, commented: "We are absolutely delighted to receive this commendation. This achievement is the result of a fantastic team effort from all areas of the company. We are very proud to
have delivered a ’cutting edge’ product that we can manufacture in volume into our marketplace.”
