Analytik Jena Development Head Receives Award for Outstanding Service

Dr Gerhard Schlemmer, head of the Research and Development division at Analytik Jena AG, has been presented with the Ioannes Marcus Marci Medal for outstanding developments in the field of atomic spectroscopy. The prestigious prize is awarded every two years by the Czech-Slovak Spectroscopic Society, which met from May 31 to June 3 in Litomysl, Czech Republic.

Schlemmer, 58, has been an analytical chemist and spectroscopist for 30 years. He has been responsible for research and development at Analytik Jena since summer 2004, having joined the company in 2002.
