Flexibility in an Age of Complexity

Olympus announced that the main theme at the IFCC/EUROMEDLAB in was based around "Flexibility in an age of complexity." Featuring the latest solutions for workflow consolidation and data management, the booth is designed to demonstrate the unique Olympus offering for high to ultra-high throughput laboratories.

Two innovations certain to draw particular attention amongst exhibition visitors are the AU-CONNECTOR and the latest version of the OLA2500 peri-analytical system.

The AU-CONNECTOR enables powerful consolidated Olympus testing areas to be created within laboratories by connecting, for example, an AU3000i and an AU2700. Alternative options are two AU2700 Clinical Chemistry systems or two AU3000i Immunoassay systems. By intelligent sample management, up to 640 samples per hour can be processed meeting the requirements of the new generation of ultra-high throughput laboratories. Already the leading peri-analytical system in Europe, the latest version of the OLA2500 features a unique 3D TIU (Tube Inspection Unit). This further speeds sorting by being able to accurately identify tubes through their cap colour.

Finally, the powerful dataWizard data management software enables users to make maximum gain from these hardware advances by offering superb computing power, advanced validating and auditing features, as well as compatibility with existing LIMS and HIS systems.

Exhibition visitors will also be able to learn more about the benefits of the Olympus solutions for their particular laboratories in a series of theatre-style presentations to be held every day on the booth.
