Availability of Rmc Family of Microtomes for Sample Preparation is Announced

The ISS Group are pleased to announce the availability of RMC's family of EM Sample Preparation products. The line includes microtomes, ultramicrotomes, cryosectioning systems, automatic EM tissue processors, glass knife makers, propane jet freezers, freeze fracture systems, freeze substitution systems, freeze dryer systems and a wide range of associated accessories.

The AFM-990 precision motorized microtome is recommended for the materials scientist. It has been designed for users of all microscopy techniques: optical, scanning electron and scanning probe systems.
It enables users to prepare flat sample surfaces with minimal user interaction. A feed totalizer to record either the size of feed in microns or the number of slices to be cut is set up using a separate controller for hands-off operation. The motorized knife stage provides 28mm of travel and has the option to add a cryo-attachment to permit sectioning from room temperature down to -180°C.
