NMI Microscope System Meets New EN10247 Standard
Oct 30 2007
The function of enabling result comparison is of particular benefit as quality determination according to the new EN 10247 standard is based on mathematical formulas instead of the previous method involving a visual comparison of the sample and a reference chart image. The results of the samples measured in a series can be output individually or in combination. The software offers the possibility of performing the measurement in large MosaiX images composed of individual images, and not only in individual images as in the past. This means that inclusions are not cut off at the image edge, but are recorded in their entirety and are therefore classified correctly.
There are many other benefits compared to the previous manual and visual evaluation. Sample evaluation is considerably faster, particularly if the sample is to be measured in accordance with several standards in one measurement.
The system can be expanded with further image analysis applications, e.g. for grain size analysis and particle analysis. System solutions with the Axio.Imager.Z1m upright microscope and the Axio Observer.Z1m inverted microscope offer optimal conditions for reliable, convenient measurements.
