Fast Image Capturing Combined with Fast Confocal Microscopy
Jun 18 2009
Version 4.7.2 of the AxioVision software from Carl Zeiss now enables fast image capturing using the CellObserver® SD and Laser TIRF 3 microscope systems.
Scientists working in the field of the life sciences benefit from the extended functionality of the CellObserver.
AxioVision now also enables the combination of high-speed image capture under physiological conditions (incubation) and fast confocal microscopy, thus enhancing the portfolio from Carl Zeiss for 3D life cell imaging. Furthermore, this software version permits the analysis of near-membrane processes at a high temporal resolution.
Also particularly noteworthy are the configuration functions of the ‘Dual Camera’ software module which allow the clear allocation of individual cameras to the recording channels. Therefore, it is no longer necessary to change the filter after the signal sequence changes.
From now on, the cameras can also be synchronised through software triggering. For FRET evaluation, scientists can now use all standard correction techniques as well as formulas they have defined themselves.
The sturdy signal distribution box for the CellObserver® HS ensures that the components for fast image capture are clearly connected to the trigger board of the image analysis computer. Therefore, the components no longer need to be connected to the computer via a special cable harness.
HDR (High Dynamic Range) image capture can now be tested free of charge with AxioVision and AxioVision LE. Here, a watermark is embedded into the images. Effective immediately, the AxioVision HDR image capture module is also available for the free AxioVision LE software.
