LabVantage Launches Mobile App IoT to Enable Continuous, Connected Laboratory Operations, Anywhere, Anytime
Nov 05 2025
LabVantage Solutions, Inc., a global leader in laboratory informatics and digital transformation solutions, today announced the launch of the LabVantage Mobile App IoT, a pioneering mobile and Internet of Things (IoT) platform designed to transform how laboratories collect, manage, and synchronize data; anytime, anywhere. The solution was first introduced at Analytica USA 2025, to address one of the most enduring gaps in scientific operations, namely: dependable data access and operations continuity in low- or no synch circumstances.
In modern research, science is no longer confined to the four walls of a traditional laboratory. Data is generated in offshore facilities, mobile testing units, field research sites, and high-containment cleanrooms, often under conditions where internet connectivity is intermittent or unavailable. This can lead to workflow interruptions, manual recordkeeping, and errors that slow down discovery.
About the App:
The LabVantage Mobile App IoT closes this crucial gap by allowing scientists to capture, track and manage laboratory data securely in both online and offline modes, ensuring the substantiation of all data and traceability. When reconnected, the application automatically synchronizes all data with the LabVantage LIMS (Laboratory Information Management System), without requiring manual reconciliation or risking data duplication.
"The success of our launch confirms what we’re seeing in the field: labs today aren’t just looking to go digital - they need the freedom to operate anytime, anywhere, even without connectivity. With the Mobile App IoT, we’re delivering that freedom without compromising security, traceability, or compliance."

Built for diverse scientific and industrial environments, the LabVantage Mobile App IoT combines mobile accessibility with IoT integration, artificial intelligence, and augmented reality (AR).
The platform enables
- Direct device connectivity through USB, Bluetooth, and MQTT protocols
- AI-driven optical character recognition (OCR) for automated data extraction, and voice command capabilities for hands-free operation in sterile or constrained settings.
- Additionally, the app supports RFID, NFC, GPS tracking, and AR smart glasses, allowing scientists to maintain complete chain-of-custody visibility and instrument monitoring in real time.
- The platform meets the highest standards for data governance and regulations, including 21 CFR Part 11, ISO 17025, and GxP. End-to-end encryption, audit trails, and role-based access control ensure security and accountability throughout the operations.
Success Stories:
Early adopters have already reported measurable benefits.
- Abluo, a chemical start-up in São Paulo, digitized 13 R&D projects within six months using the LabVantage Mobile App IoT, cutting documentation errors by nearly 70% and improving traceability across more than 40 formulations monthly.
- Similarly, Petrobras automated over 250 recurring monthly tests, enhancing data reliability and allowing teams to focus on higher-value analytical tasks.
The LabVantage Mobile App IoT supports integration with its current configurations and allows for rapid deployment and scalable use within worldwide laboratory networks. LabVantage plans to introduce new advanced AI-driven analytics, additional IoT integrations and expanded automated capabilities, as part of its ongoing innovation roadmap to continue to improve laboratory performance and resilience.
