True alchemy - saving time and money

Maintaining hygiene standards and reducing operating costs are key priorities in a lab environment, but unfortunately these don’t always go hand-in-hand. Our underlying product design ethos is to find ways to this solve this problem, and this starts from the ground up:

You gotta have sole:

The new Teknomek sole footbath mat is a deep-sided mat made from colourfast, chlorine-resistant high density polythene. It holds up to 18.9 litres of sanitising solution and can fit in most main doorways to help prevent contamination between areas.

Our sole footbath mat is available in black, blue and yellow to help segregate working areas. It has built-in handles allow for quick and easy disposal of used liquid and is stackable to save storage space.

The best bit is it costs less than traditional rubber footbath mats, making Teknomek's sole footbath mat the economical choice in the fight against cross-contamination.

Change is afoot:

Changing rooms can be a breeding ground for bacteria, particularly where ventilation is poor and surfaces hold on to dirt. If it’s time for a refurb, we can help with our lockers that are tough, hygienic, and manufactured to fit your space. We’ve brought in some new changes to our range for 2017, which may appear minor but pack a punch.

Firstly, we've scrapped the stand and the base is now welded on. This reduces dirt traps on both the sides and underneath, making the locker even easier to keep clean. The improved design also saves space by 20mm for easy-installation. While each individual locker remains the same size, the door size has been now increased to make it easier to access larger items. We've also tweaked the air vents for a new flush door design. This makes the lockers easier to clean – and they look good too!

To make life even easier, all lockers now feature a modular design for optimum flexibility. It’s now possible to bolt together banks of lockers to create the perfect changing room, while maintaining stability. Now you can simply choose how many nests (columns) and the number of tiers (doors) and what locking option you need - our hygienic lockers are an open and shut case!

Are ‘Friends Electric’?

Not any more… Many electronic devices are susceptible to low voltage Electrostatic Discharge (ESD), which can damage products and shorten their lifespan. This can be a significant concern given the cost of specialist equipment found in many labs. Fortunately, Teknomek offers an easy solution.

Our range of ESD floor and work surface matting and accessories is designed to help protect sensitive equipment by dissipating electrostatic charges – directing any charge into the ground instead.

Let’s not forget the work surfaces – Teknomek’s flexible ESD work surface matting is equally effective at controlling static, and can be cut to size to use under computers, on work surfaces where components are packaged, or as a liner for conductive bins.
