Safety/Hazard Cont: Hazardous Goods Classified in a Flash

Feb 14 2006

Stanhope Seta agree that International legislation safeguards people, property and the environment from hazardous materials. Dangerous Goods regulations specify that if a liquid or semi solid has a Flash Point of less than 23oC then it must be classified as hazardous and must by law be identified with a hazard label; it may also require special packaging, storage and transportation.

The Setaflash ?rapid equilibrium' test is widely specified for hazard classification, providing a simple means of performing a flash/no-flash test on most materials. The instruments are designed for fast, easy operation and require no previous laboratory skill.

Results given by Setaflash help to ensure that a material is correctly classified and that costs associated with inaccurate or unnecessary hazard classification are avoided.

?Activecool' is the latest Setaflash tester and has integral electronic coolers giving sub ambient testing and very fast cool down between tests.
