Engineered by Erlab, worldwide leader since 1968 in laboratory ductless filtering enclosures, the new range of CaptairBio PCR enclosures has been created for handlings involving a high sample cross contamination risk.

This new line has been designed to perform non pathogenic handlings such as sample preparations before thermocycling, Post PCR DNA sequencing revelation / separation, in vitro fertilization, cellular cultures, vegetal biology, preparation of sterile solutions, and to save samples, time and money!

4 new models

New enclosure design - from 80 cm to 1,8 m – with a 10 mm thick synthetic glass offering users a high protection against 32P, 14C, 3H Beta rays. The slanted front shield with large openings offers a very comfortable working position and an easy access into the enclosure when working for long period. The optional stainless steel worktop with a built in spill tray and the rolling or fixed carts make these new units totally mobile and autonomous. Since all CaptairBio are non-ducted, they do not need any air supply or air extraction system, and are immediately operational and very easy to relocate.

Powerful UV decontamination

The 254 nm UV lamp power and the adjustable timer which allows to set the UV radiation time up to 30 minutes ensures a complete decontamination of the entire worksurface. This prevents any handling from cross contamination risks.

In case of an unexpected front door opening during enclosure decontamination, an automatic UV lamp cut off switch off the UV lamp to protect the user from any rays exposure.

Modular filtration column

The design of the new modular filtration column equipped with an HEPA H14 filter guarantees 99,995% filtration efficiency for particles larger than 0,1 microns (according to the EN1822-1 standard, MPPS method).

The air entering the enclosure is free of any external contamination and provides an ultra clean work atmosphere.

The modular filtration column technology also allows the use of optional carbon molecular filter offering an additional protection of the enclosure from gase pollutants present in the laboratory ambient air which may interfere with sample integrity.

Cost effective

With their very low energy consumption from 70W to 140W, the annual running cost of these units does not exceed 50 euros and allows a faster return on investment.
