Edwards gave a world preview of its new nXDS range of dry scroll vacuum pumps for scientific, laboratory and R&D applications at AVS 2011. Edwards also exhibited its extensive range of high performance vacuum equipment and visitors to the stand saw the new T-station 75 turbo cart pump and innovative nEXT turbomolecular pumps. Edwards’ new nXDS pump is an environmentally friendly oilfree vacuum pump that has no lubricants in the vacuum. This  eliminates the need for regular oil changes and users can benefit from low maintenance. It is fully serviceable in the field, which results in low downtime and an overall low cost of ownership. It has reduced power consumption with minimum environmental impact and delivers exceptional pumping speeds and ultimate pressures with low acoustic noise levels, making it an ideal ‘fit and forget’ pump for the laboratory.

The compact entry level T-station 75 turbo pumping station is the smallest in Edwards’ range of pumping stations and can pump a chamber to the required vacuum up to twice as fast as competitive products thanks to higher capacity backing pumps. It provides reliable high performance and is an excellent ‘plug and play’ solution for those wanting to achieve high vacuum quickly and simply.

Edwards’ nEXT turbomolecular pumps provide exceptional high vacuum performance in a compact size. Edwards’ innovative vacuum technology is designed for maximum reliability and easy user serviceability. The pumps also  feature green modes, enabling users to reduce their carbon footprints and save energy costs.

“At Edwards we continually invest in innovation and are pleased to be previewing the nXDS,” said David Steele, Business Development Manager, Edwards. “Our knowledgeable team has decades of experience in the scientific industry and our high quality vacuum pumps and controllers provide a clean environment with excellent reliability. Our extensive range of pumps offers a wide variety of sizes and variants giving OEMs and end users a greater choice and  the flexibility to tailor the most appropriate vacuum solution to meet their individual needs.”
