Jenway have announced the launch of a new pH meter with comprehensive support for Good Laboratory Practice (GLP). Their new model 3520 offers the full specification of a research grade pH meter with a dedicated menu for GLP settings. A novel function introduced on the model 3520 is a supervisor security code that can be used to lock all the Set Up menu selections. This ensures that in normal operation no changes can be made to the settings and no results can be deleted from its capacious 500 reading memory. All readings are stored with a date and time ‘stamp’ that cannot be changed. A re-calibration reminder or alarm can be set and current calibration status is clearly displayed.

To ensure full traceability of results both operator and sample identities can be entered. All data and settings are stored in non-volatile memory and the full current status can be printed out via the RS232 serial output. Jenway have also introduced a cable-less infrared (IrDA) output on the Model 3520 that can communicate directly with the optional printer.
