Chromatography Data System Dramatically Improves Laboratory Operations

Dionex Corporation has introduced Chromeleon®7, a nextgeneration chromatography data system that provides the fastest, easiest path from samples to results, boosting productivity and improving user experience. Described as Simply Intelligent™, the software combines intelligent functionality with a new design based on Operational Simplicity™.

Central to this new design is eWorkflows†, a new automation  framework that simplifies any chromatography process to a few easy steps and accommodates operators of different skill levels by offering basic and advanced options. Individual eWorkflows can model processes as diverse as method development, QA/QC analyses, and R&D experiments. Operators can create sequences, run samples, process data,
and report results and get from samples to final results using much less time and effort.

A new top-level user interface, the Console, provides operational simplicity and intelligent functionality by guiding operators through chromatography tasks, and providing instant access to instruments, data, and eWorkflows. Visual aids, such as miniplot displays† of the chromatograms of each sample sequence, instantly and effortlessly communicate essential information. Sorting, filtering, grouping, and search features help users or analysts interpret information quickly, and the database-driven interactive Query tool helps locate and collate data without training.

The new Chromatography Studio speeds up data evaluation by providing an intuitive way to access all information for an experiment. The new Cobra™ integration algorithm uses a few parameters to accurately and reliably identify true peaks amid noise. For unresolved peaks, the SmartPeaks™ Integration Assistant† provides a graphical overview of all possible treatment options. Cobra and SmartPeaks save time and effort by eliminating the trial-and-error baseline adjustments required by most chromatography software. Additional features include dynamic data processing, automated result calculations, and extensive security, validation and audit trail features for regulatory compliance.
