1. Efficient Refrigeration Technology
LAUDA Universa utilizes frequency-controlled compressors that significantly reduce power consumption across all units and performance classes. The SmartCool system automatically adapts to the specific cooling demand, ensuring efficient and effective temperature control operations. Frequency-controlled ventilators allow for quiet running and need-based heat dissipation. All in all, LAUDA Universa can save up to 78 % of energy compared to similar devices.
2. Sustainability (across the globe)
LAUDA Universa devices are designed with sustainability in mind. They operate using environmentally friendly, natural refrigerants and incorporate energy-efficient technology to minimize energy consumption in all devices and performance ranges. The devices reflect our commitment to responsible manufacturing and environmental stewardship.
Moreover, all units run on less than 100g of refrigerant, making them easily and securely transportable via air freight.
3. Smart Connectivity
The Universa series features Ethernet/USB interfaces by default. The devices can also be chosen as WLAN-capable versions. They can be used with the LAUDA Command app, allowing for remote control via smartphones, tablets, and PCs. With eleven additional interfaces available as accessories, Universa ensures seamless integration into existing laboratories and automation systems. The device line is AI-ready, prepared for intelligent data analysis and automated optimization processes. Through real-time remote maintenance, proactive monitoring, and online support, LAUDA maximizes uptime and cost efficiency by minimizing downtime and on-site interventions. 4. Advanced Temperature Control Technology
The Universa thermostats offer an impressive temperature range from -90 °C to 300 °C, with a temperature stability of up to ±0.01 K. This ensures precision control critical for various laboratory protocols. The device line offers up to 3,7 kW of heating power, quick heating times, and reliable, stable temperature control.
5. Complete NRTL certification
LAUDA Universa is currently the only device line that’s entirely NRTL certified. No checking of which unit works for which location is needed. They are all usable worldwide, giving users high investment security by upholding international standards and easy procurement without additional accreditation or licensing.
6. Pending patents for three components
For LAUDA Universa, the concept of bath thermostats has been reimagined, leading to multiple patents for innovations currently being registered. One concerns the temperature-dependent ventilator control with optimized energy usage, and the other one the controllable bath edge ventilation. The new technologies offer added security via anti-icing and condensation protection and make LAUDA Universa the more economical choice, too, as they help extend the lifetime of components and reduce maintenance requirements.
