Autoclaves Double Stack for Greater Sterilising Flexibility
Jul 03 2019
Priorclave, a leading name in the design and manufacture of laboratory autoclaves and research grade sterilisers, has introduced a range of front-loading stackable autoclaves. These allow two different sterilising cycles to be run simultaneously and independently, greatly benefitting laboratories with segregated loads that each require their own unique process settings.
Using a single autoclave to cope with different programs can cause serious delays and create potentially unsafe bottlenecks within a laboratory or cleanroom. The new range of front-loading stackable autoclaves now available from Priorclave overcomes such situations, each chamber has its own sterilisation control settings .
The new stackable autoclave range initially comprises two standard arrangements, dual EH150 litre models and dual EH200 litre chamber capacities models. This gives the lab manger initially looking for a 300 litre or 400 litre chamber machine the opportunity to consider investing in a dual 150 or 200 litre laboratory autoclave configurations, this arrangement adding increased flexibility to the scheduling waste and equipment sterilisation.
Now with added sterilising flexibility in the lab, both chambers can be used to simultaneously handling the same type of waste, giving a maximum load of 300/400 litres or a series of single 150/200 litre loads starting as and when items become available. The real big plus factor is that the new stackable autoclaves enable laboratory staff to sterilise both waste and medium at the same time.
The alternative to achieving this flexibility is the purchase of two separate machines; the obvious downside is that double the floor space is required. For laboratories where space is accountable this can be a costly option, not only in required footprint but could that space be better utilised.
Priorclave’s EH150 and EH200 stackable laboratory autoclaves were designed and are built at the company’s specialist UK manufacturing facility. A modular approach to the build enables easy upgrading during their working life as lab requirements change.
These new autoclaves join a comprehensive range of sterilisers manufactured by Priorclave which have achieved global success within many industries sectors including education, life sciences, medical, pharmaceutical, agricultural, industrial, food and drink, dairy and brewing.
