New dry scroll pumps provide high-capacity, oil-free vacuum solutions
Jan 17 2025
Agilent Technologies Inc has introduced the IDP-35 and IDP-45 dry scroll pumps, delivering high-capacity, oil-free vacuum solutions designed for quiet, efficient, and reliable performance. These new pumps provide a cleaner, low-maintenance alternative to traditional oil-sealed pumps, making them ideal for laboratory, research, and industrial applications requiring higher pumping speeds.
Building on the high standards of Agilent’s IDP scroll pump family, the IDP-35 and IDP-45 eliminate the risk of oil leaks and contamination, ensuring a cleaner work environment. Their oil-free design reduces maintenance requirements, with simple in-house servicing needed only every two to three years, significantly minimising downtime and service costs. The pumps are also highly energy efficient, consuming less power while eliminating hazardous oil emissions and waste disposal concerns, aligning with Agilent’s sustainability goals. Integrated smart functionality allows for remote monitoring and precise control, enhancing operational efficiency.
Giampaolo Levi, Vice President and General Manager of Agilent’s Applied Markets Group, Vacuum Products Division, said the IDP-35 and IDP-45 pumps reinforce Agilent’s commitment to innovation and reliability in vacuum technology. He emphasised that with their superior performance and intelligent features, these pumps empower customers across laboratory, research, cryogenics, and industrial sectors to optimise their workflows with confidence.
Romina Gotta, Associate Vice President of Marketing for Agilent’s Vacuum Products Division, added that Agilent designed these pumps to provide a seamless, oil-free solution that meets the evolving needs of its customers. She noted that their advanced capabilities make them a standout choice for applications requiring precision, efficiency, and sustainability.
With the launch of the IDP-35 and IDP-45, Agilent continues to expand its clean, dry vacuum technology portfolio, supporting applications such as scanning electron microscopes, mass spectrometers, freeze dryers, and advanced physics research.
