Water Monitoring Conference Details Announced
Jun 22 2006
The keynote speech will be given by Chris Howes, the Environment agency's head of modern regulation and a range of expert speakers will give presentations on complimentary issues relating to water monitoring. However, WWEM will appeal to more than just those responsible for regulated processes; the event has become the UK's focal point for all matters relating to the monitoring and testing of water quality, level and flow relevant to water companies, food & beverage, laboratories and all oil & gas related industries.
WWEM 2006 will take place at the Telford International Centre on the 1st -2nd November 2006. It is jointly organised by SWIG (Sensors for Water Interest Group) and Environmental Technology Publications, with support from the Agency. WWEM comprises of a major Conference, Workshops, Exhibition and a Gala MCERTS Presentation Dinner.
Looking forward to WWEM 2006, John Tipping, who manages MCERTS for the Environment Agency, said "I congratulate those organisations tat already have MCERTS certificates and I am delighted that a large number of companies have applications underway. WWEM looks set to become a major event in the water calendar."
Following the success of the inaugural WWEM in 2005, organiser Marcus Pattison has announced that a much larger venue has been chosen for 2006. "Entry to the workshops and exhibition will be free and conference delegates will be charged at £50/day. Lunch and refreshments will also be free of charge. In 2005, we were unable to accommodate all of the exhibitors requesting space (there was a waiting list of 46) and the show was sold out six months in advance, however, Telford offers a higher number of positions and 3m x 3m stands are available on a first come, first served basis. If you visit www.wwem.uk.com you will see that most of the stands are already sold, so I would urge everyone to act without delay."
