NIBRT wins Bioprocess International Award: Manufacturing

NIBRT has been voted as winner of BioProcess International Awards 2012: Collaboration of the Decade – Manufacturing Award, an accolade which recognises industry alliances and collaborations whose innovative partnerships had resulted in overall process cost reduction while creating new, effective approaches to biopharmaceutical design, development and manufacturing.

The Judging Committee recognised NIBRT as providing world class research and training solutions to address key manufacturing challenges. The NIBRT collaboration of government, industry and academia drives process efficiencies, innovation and compliance across all aspects of biopharmaceutical manufacturing.
NIBRT enables its industrial clients to share the load of its plant start-up, personnel training, and R+D, and it has given Ireland a competitive market advantage.

The other finalists were the PDA and Merck-Medimmune’s Trusted Partner Network, with NIBRT announced as the winner on 9 October 2012, at the BioProcess International Conference & Exhibition, in Rhode Island, USA.
