SPICA 2018 - 17th International Symposium on Preparative and Industrial Chromatography and Allied Techniques Darmstadt, Germany - October 7-10, 2018
Jun 28 2018
For nearly 30 years, this Symposium has been a prime event to attend to learn about the latest progresses and state of the art technology in the field of Preparative and Industrial Chromatography. The conference is an exceptional multi-disciplinary forum for expert scientists working in fundamental research and practical applications of Preparative Separation Sciences in the domains of chemistry, pharmaceuticals, polymers, natural products and biotechnology.
The goal is to share the latest innovations, create and develop new research axes and deploy the purification techniques for the industrial development of molecules with increasing complexity and constraints.
During the 3 days of the symposium, sessions will present the latest technological innovations as well as new trends in the field of separation techniques for discovery, process development and industrial applications. Topics will cover all relevant chromatographic and allied purification techniques such as HPLC, SFC, liquid-liquid, membranes, crystallisation and extraction. Important parts of the program will include novel stationary phases, innovative and continuous processes, as well as fundamental mechanisms and modelling. Alongside this, regulatory, environmental and economic aspects are taken into consideration.
SPICA has a tradition of discussing applications in the purification of small and large molecules, including biomolecules. Sharing knowledge between the corresponding communities creating synergies and fruitful discussions will also to be promoted during SPICA 2018.
An 'in Memoriam session' honouring Joachim Kinkel will also be included in the programme.
As a further educational part of the meeting, SPICA 2018 offers workshops on the opening day, Sunday October 7, where worldwide recognised experts share their experience and give an overview in the main practical fields of Preparative Chromatography.
A careful selection of the keynote speakers will provide a solid base to ensure the scientific quality and attractiveness.
Abstracts for poster presentations can be submitted until August 28, 2018.
