Smart and colourful lab additions

Heathrow Scientific, a leading manufacturer of innovative lab supplies and instruments showcased a range of new products at Pittcon; amongst its variety of disposable flexible polystyrene weigh-boats which feature smooth surfaces to provide accurate pour-outs with minimal sample loss were the new SmartBoats, made from FSC certified paper and when disposed they will naturally biodegrade.

New Yellow OneRacks in full and half sizes also provide a great match, fitting perfectly inside the DuraPorter.

The True North microscope slide boxes range also just got cooler. They can be stored in ultra-low temperatures with confidence  and come with a 25 place, blue slide box made from durable polycarbonate. A 100 place, purple polycarbonate slide box is also available. True North Freezer Boxes, made from corrugated OR thin film polypropylene material, are reusable, economical and moisture resistant which significantly reduces the chance of mould growth. These freezer boxes are easy to assemble and are shipped flat-packed which saves valuable lab space.

The company’s family of Sprouts also provide more fun additional colour and now include a yellow and light purple Sprout.TM

lso launched, TracRack –  which allows you to take what you need and store the rest. Removing and working with samples from cold storage has never been easier! Two versions available, TracRack for 1.5-2.0 mL and micro-centrifuge tubes and TracRack micro, reversible, holding 0.5 or 0.2 mL tubes.
