Gilson Releases Two New Pipetman Pipette Models

Gilson has released two new models to the PIPETMAN® L range of pipettes, the most comfortable air-displacement pipettes in the Gilson portfolio. The PIPETMAN L x1200 multichannel pipettes are available in 8- and 12-channel models, helping scientists increase their daily productivity without sacrificing comfort.

These new 1200 µL multichannel models are an ideal solution for many protocols that require a working volume from 100 to 1200 μL. They are recommended for several applications that need to transfer liquid aliquots in microplates or multiple wells plates, such as cell culture, molecular analysis, immunoassays (ELISA), or general binding assays. These new models are also the perfect tool for high throughput screening or sample storage and are adapted to the working volume of deep well plates.

The new PIPETMAN L x1200 are one of the largest adjustable volume multichannel pipettes available. Because only one pipetting step is adapted to the working volume of the plates, as opposed to several required steps with smaller models, experiments can be scaled up in less time, causing daily productivity to increase.

Lightweight and perfectly balanced, every aspect of the PIPETMAN L has been designed for ergonomics. The tip ejector is also adjustable for left- or right-handedness. These enhancements, in combination with low pipetting and ejection forces, provide increased pipetting comfort while reducing the risk of repetitive strain injuries (RSI). Additionally, the gravity centre of these new pipettes has been adjusted for an improved balance sensation while pipetting.

Like all PIPETMAN L models, the pipettes feature a true volume-locking mechanism that prevents no accidental volume change, which could alter accuracy and precision. The patented locking system fully disconnects the operating rod from the counter assembly during pipetting so that once locked into place, the volume cannot be accidentally changed, preventing accidental volume drift during pipetting tasks.

To help you minimize cross-contamination, all PIPETMAN L variable-volume models are fully autoclavable with no disassembly required for maximum convenience.
