Showcase Future Trends in the Field of Analytical Instrumentation Technology and Biotechnology
Apr 19 2012
At this year's analytica, Analytik Jena AG (Hall A1, Stand 211/310) is set to showcase technology trends of the future with its broad portfolio in the fields of analytical instrumentation technology, life science and LIMS.
One trade fair highlight in the field of traditional analytical instrumentation technology is the contrAA® series, a device family for high-resolution continuum source atomic absorption spectrometry (HR-CS AAS) that is unique on the market. The contrAA® devices allow for the first time ever simultaneous multi-line detection as well as the detection of non-metals such as halogens or sulfur. Alongside the compact contrAA® 700 combination device, the latest addition to the product family - the contrAA® 600 for graphite furnace, HydrEA and direct solids analysis - will also be on show. Potential customers can not only admire the new contrAA® 600 on the Analytik Jena stand, but also see it in action in the live laboratory for food and water analysis in Hall B2 - a brand-new highlight of the analytica 2012 trade fair.
The multi N/C® series also offers some new innovations: These TOC/TNb analyzers now feature innovative thermo-catalytic decomposition technology that allows for a much higher sample throughput, a much longer service life and drastically reduced operating costs in all applications, particularly for extreme matrices and samples with a high salt content. Analytik Jena will also be presenting the multi EA® 5000, a new generation of elemental analyzers for the single-and multi-element analysis of carbon, nitrogen, sulfur and chlorine from solid, pasty, liquid and gaseous samples. The process of detecting sulfur quickly and without interference has been further optimized thanks to the newly developed Micro Plasma Optimizer technology. The multi X® 2500 AOX analyzer and the latest UV/VIS spectrophotometers in the SPECORD® PLUS series round off the business unit's product range at the trade fair.
In the Life Science area, Analytik Jena will showcase two new real-time PCR systems: the qTOWER for quantitative real-time rapidPCR and the TOptical for real-time PCR. The new CyBi®-FeliX, an extremely compact bench-top pipettor for use in proteomics and genetics developed by subsidiary CyBio AG, will also be showcased. Based on the patented CHOICE technology, this flexible pipetting platform allows for a volumetric area four times bigger than was previously possible. The wide range of pipetting formats allows flexible, single-channel, row-by-row, column-by-column and parallel 96/384 handling. In combination with 12 deck positions, CyBi®-FeliX is the perfect solution for a range of automated, routine liquid handling tasks.
AJ Blomesystem GmbH will be presenting the newly launched readyLIMS®, a high-performance, turnkey laboratory information management system designed for the complete range of laboratory-based tasks. This subsidiary of Analytik Jena will also be showcasing its tried-and-tested LIMS solutions LABbase® and ENMO® hydro.
