analytica China 2012 Closed with Historical Records

analytica China closed at Shanghai New International Expo Center on October 18, 2012. A total of 580 leading exhibitors presented at the trade fair, increasing by 24% and reaching a new record high. The 3-day trade fair also received a historical 16,940 professional visitors and buyers from 66 countries. At the 14 high-quality academic programs held along with the trade fair, another highlight of analytica China, 150 speakers and 2,509 audiences discussed on topics covering analytical chemistry, proteomics, food safety, chromatography and laboratory certification, winning wide accreditation among experts.
“The year 2012 marks the first 10th anniversary of analytica China. We are very happy to see that the trade show is making history in either its size or number of exhibitors and visitors”, said Mr Norbert Bargmann, Deputy CEO of Messe München International. “The rapid growth of analytica China is mainly a result of the prosperous Chinese market. We will continue our strategy to serve the Chinese as well as Asian market, and create more opportunities for manufacturers and users in China and abroad.”
analytica China 2012 continued its successful history with an exhibition area of 25,000m2. The three exhibition areas: Laboratory Technology, Biotechnology and Life Science, Analysis and Quality Control, presented the latest trends and cutting-edge technologies in laboratory technology, analysis and diagnostics and their applications in food safety, environmental analysis, biotechnology, science, education and public health. Among the exhibitors are leading players in the industry, such as, Agilent, AB Sciex, Bruker, Hitachi, Horiba, IKA, Jasco, Jena, Mettler-Toledo, Metrohm, PerkinElmer, Shimadzu, Thermo Fisher, VWR and Waters.
Marie Izzard, Director of Asian Operations for International Labmate stated: “This has been the busiest laboratory show we have exhibited at in Asia. Our magazines - Lab Asia, Measurement Analysis China and Asian Environmental Technology were all very well received by visitors and exhibitors alike. We have added many new readers to mailing lists following this show”
Mr Feng Huo, Vice President, Greater China General Manager of Agilent Technologies (China) Co, Ltd confirmed that “analytica China is the most economic exhibition compared to similar shows, providing a good platform for exhibitors, visitors and the media to communicate with each other. Furthermore, exhibitors can find out about visitors’ demands at analytica China.”
Mr Shijiang Fu, President of Techomp (China) Ltd stated: “analytica China has been beyond our expectations. We have seen many exhibitors here, not only chemical analysis manufacturers but also bio-chemical ones. I believe analytica China is the best show for suppliers as well as customers.”
The special Biotechnology and Life Science Area won wide recognition among exhibitors and visitors, presenting advanced technologies and products in the areas: biotechnological applications, bio-experiments, bioinformatics, biochemical medicine and medical diagnostics. Important exhibitors in this area included: Capitalbio, Corning, Copeland, Eppendorf, Hamilton, Life Technologies, Merk Millipore, Pall, Roche, Tecan, Tedia and Zeiss.
Siddhartha C. Kadia, President of Life Technologies Greater China was extremely satisfied with visitor quality: “It is a fantastic and big event. There are many suppliers here and we are pleased to be here. We see many customers, users as well as people who use the technologies, as well as suppliers.”
