The non–destructive real time scanning systems, like the modular NIRFlex N-500, enable users to measure solid, powder and liquid samples directly - no need for solvents or time-consuming sample preparation. In the field of Food&Feed production Buchi offers a number of robust quantitative applications with ready-to-use calibrations. Thus, the FT-NIR spectrometer can be used to analyse samples at the customer’s site from the very first day after installation. Examples of pre-calibrations for the food industry are: meat and derivates as ham or sausages, milk and cheese, cereals and rice, wheat and semolina flour as well as finished products of the bakery industry, vegetable oil and animal fats. Whatever the needs are, the pre-calibrated applications will manage them all.

Regarding flour, Buchi NIR systems enable the rheological analysis of parameters like the Chopin W and P/L or farinographic parameters like the baking absorption. Concerning vegetable oil the Buchi measuring cell NIRFlex Liquids allows the fast analysis of fatty acids to support the traditional GC analysis.

To modify or expand the pre-calibrations or to develop new calibrations from scratch the field-proven and intuitive chemometric software NIRCal from Buchi offers a fast and straightforward way to develop robust calibrations. Thanks to the patented calibration wizard even inexperienced users will easily reach their target.
