Labplant UK Extends Spray Dryer Range

LABPLANT Laboratory Spray Dryers were originally designed and extensively used at the research/product development stage where small quantities of product were used for evaluation/testing and defining the spray drying process parameters.

However, over the years increased use of Spray Dryers within differing market sectors has resulted in the need for a more refined and developed system of spray drying, using smaller, controlled particle sizes.

As a result Labplant UK has redefined its range of laboratory spray dryers to meet the demands of these markets.

SD06A

The SD06A characteristics are suited to the teaching/research/small particle sector of the market where water based solutions are generally used and includes:

1. Increased control of spray parameters for greater control of particle size.

2. Refined collection method for the segregation of small particles.

3. Nano particles can be produced and development work on suitable collection systems is progressing.

SD06AG

The New SD06AG has all the advantages of the SD06A plus an integral inert gas unit and can be used for both water and solvent based solutions.

The unique design of the “inert gas unit” allows easy processing with air or inert gas. Indeed, warm up and cool down of glassware can be done with air, whilst processing with gas; this reduces gas usage and cost. The SD06AG also allows the adjustment of gas flow to the process requirements.

Both systems (SD06A & SD06AG) have infinitely variable temperature controls, product injection and gas flow rates giving the widest possible process conditions.

With the addition of the stainless steel stand, we can offer a double cyclone allowing the collection of smaller particles, this system is designed to be used with an extra cyclone and large main chamber.
